First, a quesion that I posted on my FaceBook page that I want to post here.
Would you spend the night with Linus in the pumpkin patch waiting for the Great Pumpkin or go with Lucy and the gang trick or treating and bobbing for apples?
Second, regarding my favorite movie, Silence of The Lambs. Last Friday the film came on TNT and it prompted Brad and I to pop the DVD into the player and watch it unedited. I love Silence of The Lambs, to me it's a really great film and I every time I watch it I notice new things and have more questions about the back-stories of each of the characters. My friend Heather and I used to quote the film and re-enact some scenes from the film ad-nauseum in high school and college. One of the things we used to quote and laugh at was the line, "He's makin' himself a woman-suit." Out of context it's ridiculously funny, I've even got Brad laughing about it now. On my recent viewing of the movie I laughed when agent Starling (Fly Fly Fly) figures out Buffalo Bill's grand plan and I was much more aware of the half finished woman-suit when she was going through Buffalo Bill's lair.
So here's my question: What was Buffalo Bill's ultimate plan for his woman-suit? Was he planning on wearing it out on a daily basis? Was he planning on only wearing it to costume parties? Was it merely a suit for his own personal enjoyment at home?
I couldn't think of two more disparate pieces of media to put together in one blog post but that's how my mind works. Happy Halloween everyone!!
