I am way behind on podcasts - so, how much weight have you lost?

Brent

Congrats on the 20 lbs loss. I've been trying since the start of the year and only lost a couple of pounds.
I want to go to Bodyworlds 3 here in Phoenix, just need to find the time.

John

So, if I buy a Wii will I lose 20 lbs? I hope so.

(I'm ignoring that eating better, exercising part you mentioned)

Arthur (AmeriNZ)

Well done on the weight loss! It's certainly not easy, and it gets harder the older you get. But all that yummy Mexican food--was that DIET Mexican?

I'm a big fan of compact fluorescents. Because the bulbs cost more, as you said, we've been replacing our old bulbs over time (I put a photo of the first 11 on my blog post on this subject). But they use only about 20% of the electricity of normal bulbs, so they usually pay for themselves in a year or less. Plus, they last for years. So, in the long run, they're much cheaper as well as being better for the planet.

Some feedback for you: The stereo was almost surreal while you were in the kitchen--like being in the room with you. To me, it seemed more "real". However, there seemed to be a little hiss on the quieter parts. The file wasn't any bigger than some of your other podcasts, though maybe they were longer.

Adam

Heh. I think the hiss was the sound of the chicken on the grill. Perhaps?

Arthur (AmeriNZ)

I thought it was the chicken, too, but then you seemed to walk away from the cooking at one stage. You'd know better than me!

Was the chicken good? We use our George Foreman grill all the time.

Kalvin

Aw, how sweet of you to think of me. I should go on the gay food as well. :( I still have never been to see bodyworlds, but honestly, I've never been that interested. Congratulations Adam. You'll have to take pictures from the beach to memorialize your success and titilate your adoring fans ;)

Turtle

Congrats on the weight loss. I love how you mention it almost in passing...oh, "less cheese, more gym." But 20 lbs in 2 months must have required some work; at any rate it's a commendable accomplishment. Your "gay diet" sounds similar to the Showgirls diet: "You do eat brown rice and vegetables, don't you?" ;-)

homer

I went to Rosa's last night!

Nik-in-Paris

It's such a shame to record with your binaurals in mono! Have you tried lowering the sample and bit rates? Because you are not recording music through the line-in they don't need to be very high. Reading online I see that a bit rate at 64 kbps and a sampling rate of 22.050 KH should be fine.

Just a thought. Great show as always.

TJ

Just wanted to say, have a good time in Australia. You'll love it. Hopefully your going to see more than just Sydney. I visited in 1999 and now live here permanently, in Tasmania
