Hmmm that is a very poetic photo! I am looking forward to seeing this film. I have watched a documentary a few years ago about Harvey Milk and I am looking forward to seeing Hollywood's take. Very appropriate for San Francisco and California right now. Good setting for the premier! Of course only a few doors down from him Camera Shop too. I think he would be sad at how close yet so far away we are from equality.
Quid pro quo photo Adam. It says a lot about how bad things were in 1970's for gays in society yet we're still fighting over the same issues of equality today. I'm looking forward to seeing the film.
Prop 8 passing is partially the fault of gay activists and bloggers. There were already many articles in mainstream news predicting that African Americans would come out in droves to vote for Obama and would also vote YES on 8 and be just what was needed to push it through. Gay activists, always too politically correct, refused to let this be known. Such knowledge might have been just what was needed to get more gay men in CA registered and voting.

I'm not a filmgoer, but I am very interested in this film.
I lived in San Francisco from 1976-1991 and I lived those years!
I've seen snippets from it, and I'm nostalgic already!
